Chris van Zinnicq Bergmann
Managing Director, Pacnet Europe and the Americas
Chris van Zinnicq Bergmann is Managing Director of Pacnet Europe and the Americas. He is responsible for sales across Europe and America, and also oversees Pacnet's IRU and Voice businesses. Mr Van Zinnicq Bergmann was previously Pacnet's Vice President of IRU Sales and is currently based in Amsterdam.Mr Van Zinnicq Bergmann was a member of the team that started the operations of Asia Global Crossing in Los Angeles in 1999 and was instrumental in the implementation of joint ventures which were required for the landing of the EAC system in various countries throughout the region. During the transition of AGC to Pacnet, he moved to Singapore to run the company's business development activities in Southeast Asia and India (2002 to 2005) and became subsequently Managing Director, Southeast Asia and India (2005 to 2007).
Prior to his time in the US and the Asia Pacific region, Mr Van Zinnicq Bergmann spent a total of 6 years in the European telecom sector, where he held corporate as well as sales related positions at BT, Unisource (a joint venture between KPN, Telia and Swisscom) and AT&T-Unisource.
Mr Van Zinnicq Bergmann has a degree in Dutch Law from the State University of Groningen in the Netherlands and has been admitted as a solicitor and barrister in the Netherlands.
Richard Carden
Managing Director, Pacnet Asia
Richard Carden is Managing Director of Pacnet Asia and is responsible for sales management across China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Prior to his current appointment, Mr Carden was Managing Director of Pacnet Singapore and Indonesia.Based in Singapore, Mr Carden has over 25 years of experience in the telecom industry and is an accomplished business leader with a solid track record in driving sales productivity and revenue growth. Prior to joining Pacnet, Mr Carden served as President & CEO of Verizon Business Japan where he grew sales productivity by 250%. Before joining Verizon, Richard was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Asia Netcom Japan, where he was instrumental in the development of the company's local sales organization since its transition from Asia Global Crossing in 2001. Earlier, Richard served in sales leadership positions at MCI Worldcom Japan and British Telecom in London.
